The Saree Gown

Standard

At the recent PCJ Delhi Couture Week and India Bridal Fashion Week, multiple designers aimed to update Indian bridal wear by featuring the sari gown, a silhouette that combines the traditional structure of a sari with the more easy-to-wear, hands-free gown. Monisha Jaising’s ensembles were neon, embellished and bold, Gaurav Gupta’s were more revealing and risqué, while Masaba Gupta’s version replaced the blouse with a deconstructed tuxedo jacket.
