Celebrating the opulence of Indian craftsmanship, designers put forth regal outfits at the ongoing Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 in association with Azva.

Designers Ashima and Leena Singh opened the evening with their ‘Aalap’ collection, which recreated the grandeur of the Mughal era. Gotta-patti work was one of the highlights of the collection, which saw actress Huma Qureshi turn showstopper for the duo in a pink lehenga.

Next up was a collection by designer duo Meera and Muzzaffar Ali  called ‘Pearl of the Orient’. The creations, inspired by the grandeur of Awadh, were textured with pearls, sequins, resham and zari. Shades of purple georgette, chiffon and the net saris spelt elegance.

Shantanu and Nikhil’s collection, which was called ‘To Die For’ was aptly named as it showcased sexy outfits for this season. Inspired by the Renaissance, they showcased luxurious and opulent designs. Sania Mirza walked for them.
